What it is
- A colour negative film, processed C-41, rated ISO 800 — fast.
- Balanced for daylight at 5500K.
- Strong halation (0.30) — bright points bleed a red-orange glow, the way light does when it passes through film and reflects back off the backing.
- Moderate grain (0.088).
How astra renders it
Not a colour overlay. Each stock has its own tone curve, a channel-mixing matrix for crosstalk between layers, halation modelled as a bloom off the film backing, and grain with per-channel weights. It is applied on the GPU at display time — the photo stored and downloaded is the untouched original.
Getting it
