One price per capsule, whatever the occasion is: a birthday, an offsite, a bachelorette weekend, a wedding.
Nobody is turned away at the door. If more people come than the tier, we nudge the host to size up and the reveal happens either way. A paid capsule covers everyone's film too: guests shoot the 12, 24 or 36 frames the host picked, whatever their daily roll says.

Cancel any time. No ads, and developing is never locked.
Film is earned, never sold. One roll a day — twelve frames — and up to three: shoot in someone else's capsule to load a second, start a capsule someone else joins for a third. The ladder is the same on plus as it is on free, and no plan sells more of it.
A peek is $1.99: one photo developed early, before the rest. plus includes one on every capsule.
A capsule is never a subscription.
questions
Does everyone need the app?
Yes, for now. astra is an iPhone app. Everyone who shoots scans the QR or opens the link, joins with their first name, and they're in.
Does anyone need an account?
Hosts do, with an email address: astra sends a one-time code, so there is no password to make up. Guests join a capsule with just their first name, and add an email later if they want to keep their photos.
What if the Wi-Fi is bad?
Photos save to the phone immediately and upload whenever there's signal, even hours later. You can see each photo's status.
Can people upload photos they already took?
No. The point is shooting in the moment.
How long are photos stored?
Forever. No 12-month expiry, no download fees.
Can I see photos before the reveal?
Only with a peek: one random photo, shown to you alone, up to three a capsule. The host can switch peeks off, and then nobody can, including the host. That's the fun.
Who sees the photos afterwards?
The host decides: the people who were there, or anyone on astra, in a gallery inside the app. A new capsule with other people starts out public, the host can change that any time, and everyone can take their own frames out.
Is there a subscription?
Not for a capsule: those are one-time, and free for up to ten people. astra plus is an optional subscription for choosing your film.
